Mission 36

I really felt like this photoshoot went by super fast. I think it was because I was around really good company and I was getting the shots I needed. I would really like to do another shoot with her, she was very cooperative and fun to be around. I only used one strobe, a power pack, and a tri pod. I would like to Thank Robbi for her room and place, Colin and Emily for their beautiful selves, and me for being just sooo darn A-mazing!! lol!!

Mission 35

This is just another shoot for my Portfolio so that I can Graduate from The Art Institute of Colorado. I would like to Thank Dalin and Brooke for all your help.

Mission 34

So I did a shoot for a friend just recently and this is a couple of what came of it. I used a location kit with three strobes, a power pack, and three stands, I also used a pocket wizard and a remote to trigger off my camera without me being near it up to 350 feet, and one assistant. Funny thing about this shoot, I also got the person who asked for me to do the shoot, to model. well I hope you like them. Thank you everyone for the help and cooperation.

Mission 33

CLUE.

Six strangers all receive a letter formally inviting them to Blackthorn Manor where they are told that someone will reveal something of interest to all of them. Upon receiving the letters they all set out to discover what is in store for them. One by one: the rich widow, the military man, the punk, the hooker, the librarian, and the scientist are greeted by Nathaniel, the Blackthorn Manor butler, as they arrive to the mansion.
Nathaniel informs them that their true identities will be kept secret and a false name will take its place. He tells them all their aliases: Mrs. White, Colonel Mustard, Mr Green, Miss Scarlet, Mrs. Peacock, and Professor Plum.

As the last of the six strangers arrive, Nathaniel guides them to the dining room where they are served dinner and then are finally told the reasons for their being there. It all comes own to a simple murder, one that they all had part in yet didn’t know that the others had a hand in it and someone is there to blackmail them. This individual is among one of the six.
Shortly after dinner, they are all led to the lounge where the butler has been instructed to give them each a package revealing six lethal weapons, (a gun, a cable cord, a kitchen knife, a candlestick, a lead pipe, and a wrench) which is propositioning them to kill one another so that no one will have the chance to blackmail.

Suddenly as everyone stands around contemplating their next action, the lights go out. There are sudden screams, a hard thud, and a gunshot before the lights come back on. As everyone stands and surveys the area they come to find that the Blackthorn Manor Nathaniel is dead on the floor before them. They don’t know what had killed him or who had done it.
In mass confusion and panic, the six strangers become defensive and start blaming one another. As each one denies it, they begin to grow suspicious of everyone around them. Who did it, who was this murderer, and with what?

Find out who did it and with what weapon by playing the game, Clue.

Mission 32

This shoot came out great! I got a lot of images that I can use and a lot the model can use for herself. She was very understanding and I appreciate that you were paying attention to what it was we were asking. Thank you Sara, Carly and Sara's friend.

Mission 31

So I have been using the same concept as the last photoshoot and my work still can speak for itself. I still use the same edge lighting and equipment but I did not have an assistant to help me. Thank you Kayla for your assistance while still being a model. I also would like to thank everyone who has helped me out in the past and future for willing to pose nude for me. You all are awesome.

Mission 30

So I have been in the search for nude models and I was lucky enough to come across two individuals who were both willing to do a solo and duet photoshoot. Neither of them knew each other yet were still willing to work together. Everything worked out perfectly. I used two strobes, a white foam board, two black blanket backdrops, and one assistant. I used alot of angle lighting from the back. I feel as if this is my signature move within photography and i feel as if my photography is getting better and better. I would like to thank Brenda, Colin, and Carly for all your help and cooperation. You all were wonderful and I would like to work again with you in the future.

Mission 27

    Mrnicholsphotography; Fusion

There are times when a person thinks of himself as different people. It is true though, there are actually three types of selfs within ourselves. No one really knows it but its there. Sometimes you feel like doing something that you normally would not do, and other times you feel scared and not wanted, when deep down you know that you are. We will always struggle with ourselves and never truly understand what it is that makes us what we are.

Mission 26

So this image is for my Photo Design class and I'm continuing on the subject of mythological creatures. I know there are some technical problems but it still looks pretty sweet. I like how it turned out and am satisfied with it. I would like to thank the owners of the horse, Marion Cantagallo and Elaine Morgan, and I would like to thank the horse, which is a Mustang and her name is Black Beauty. Thank you Tyler Hack for modeling and thank you Tip for the hook-up. Carly, you know you're awesome!! But thank you too for the transportation. I had a Blast and so did everyone else.

Mission 25

With this shoot I wanted to be a little more creative using my lights. I took two strobes and placed a red (or pink and orange) gel over one of them and a blue (or two light blues and a medium blue) gel over the other one. I placed the lights behind the model on either side of her and just had her turn and step around to get the light just right. I would like to thank Carly and Ashley for your help.

Mission 24

This photoshoot took me hours to set up and shoot and edit. All together there are 8 images in this pic. I composted them using Photoshop and then I color corrected it and cropped it in Lightroom 3. I feel slightly bad because i found out the hard way that rubber cement is not good for the skin. We read the warning on the bottle and it just said that do not eat. So we put it on 2 of the models and it started to burn them. We then checked on the internet about it and it then said that do not put on skin, may cause burning and itching and may cause scaring. So we washed it off as fast as we could. Now one of the models has burn marks on their face... I am soooo sorry.!!! But on a better note, we created an A-mazing picture. I only used a Q-flash to light it all and we shot it in the middle of the night. so I had to shoot each person and background separately. I would like to Thank all my models for being cooperative and helpful. Thank you Carly, Ashley, Audree, and Anu!! You all rock!!

Mission 23

This shoot was amazing!!! We had created the dress out of scratch. The funny thing was that none of us are fashion students and we made an outstanding dress that made people howl and cheer for us. The shoot is for my Portfolio Exploration class. I used only a reflector and the new Canon 60D camera. I would like to thank the model for being soooo patient, understanding and willingness to help me out. I would also like to thank all the people who helped make and assist me on this shoot. So, Thank you Carly, Ashley, Jamie, Ashley, Lauren and Ashly.

Mission 22

What I think is really A-mazing about these two images is the fact that they are not shot on a location. They are all made up. I had to shoot these from my Advanced Studio class in a small studio room. We built two walls that are to represent a barn look, then we (my entire class) were told to make up stuff that would be seen in this type of setting. Everyone either shot alcohol and cowboys. I was the only one to see beyond what it could have been. My first image is titled "Abduction" and my second image is titled "The Blacksmith". I know, not very creative naming but hey, im just glad i got these A-mazing images. I would like to thank Eddie, Tip, Ashley, and especially Carly for all their hard work, participation, and help. Without all of you, this would not have been possible.

Mission 21

These images were shot for my Survey of Photography class and I feel as if with every new image I produce, they get better and better. Im proud of these pictures. For this shoot, I only used the available light that was given to me and one assistant (Eddie Perez). Thank you all.
